In 1969 when students did crazy stuff, radio Bosom was born as a capping stunt. It was set up in a boat – which ran aground somewhere in Auckland's Waitemata harbour – and broadcast illegally on speakers around the Auckland University student union. Over the next few decades the Bosom morphed into the mighty 95bFM, a sizzling casserole of New Zealand music, news and views.

Like orange pith in your teeth, radio b is lodged firmly on the second floor of the former student union building at the University of Auckland. It’s run on the sounds, sweat and tantrums of volunteers (technical term: vollies), and a core full time crew. 95bFM is a compilation of dedicated people from all walks of musical genre and political opinion. This makes for a fiery world of independent news and views and Auckland’s most vibrant musical injection. Our DJs broadcast throughout Auckland and across the globe (via the Interweb) all day and night – even at two in the morning.

95bFM offers listeners a shelter from the harshness of commercial (crap) radio. The ads are fuckin' funny and the attitude is real. It’s the voice of the little guy or gal and the loudhailer of people who simply love good music. Give it a go. You might be surprised at what you find.

As inspiration to, and meeting place of, many of New Zealand's most creatively brilliant people; K Road has organically become an arts-events space. Events are arranged with and by musicians, artists, film-makers, cultural and spiritual groups.

The K Road Business Association has always striven to encourage the colourful character of K Road and has been either the supporting role or the propelling force behind much organised chaos. They sponsor, in particular, experimental artists and art forms alongside promoting the 20 diverse art spaces within the precinct. K Road: The most intriguing place in the centre of Auckland.
